Friday Night Sew-In

Whoot, Whoot!!!!

It's the weekend!

I'm celebrating with a sew-in.

Got my sweet tea from McD's.

Got my first season of Glee in the Blue Ray.

All of my blocks are coming out perfectly sized.

Not sure what the problem was with the test block.

Not going to rock the boat.

First Look

Started sewing the pieces together.

Nothing ever works out to size LOL

Guess its because I am sewing them together on a slant.

Block ends up concave.

Then suppose to trim it to 8 1/4 x 8 1/4

Yeah right!

Pushing it to trim it to 8x8

My theory is as long as they are all consistent it will work out in the end.

We will see!

Bliss {Cut}

Just finished cutting all of the pieces for the 'Smitten with Bliss' quilt....  All I can say is wow.... very easy to cut... one cut only for each charm piece and pieces can be stacked to cut several at a time.... easy and fast

Smitten....

Ever since the first time I laid eyes on 'Bliss', I was smitten.  I couldn't wait until it was availible... and now that I have some I have to make a conscious effort not to hoard it, but to actually cut into it *GASP*.....

So here is the begining of my Smitten with Bliss project.  I am planning on using the 'Wild Thing' pattern.
